York-headquartered learning and development specialist Arden Matheson is marking ten years in business with the launch of its first open leadership programme.
Founded in 2015 by Holly Arden, the company has built a reputation for creating bespoke leadership and development frameworks for global clients across industries including FMCG, recruitment, engineering, technology, healthcare and public sectors.
Until now, Arden Matheson’s flagship Lead with Impact programme was only available as a closed course tailored to individual organisations. To mark the company’s 10th anniversary, Holly and her eight-strong team are opening it up to support experienced and emerging leaders across the region and beyond.
Holly says, “We’ve had so much feedback over the years about running Lead with Impact as an open programme, and what better way to mark a decade of developing exceptional leaders than making our signature leadership programme more widely available and accessible?”
Holly’s vision when she set up Arden Matheson was to create programmes shaped around individual clients’ needs to fit their unique culture and goals. The company grew quickly during the pandemic, when demand for online training surged. Holly embraced the shift to virtual delivery and now works with clients around the world, including the USA, Hong Kong and Dubai.
The Lead with Impact programme supports people who are stepping into leadership as well as those looking to refine their leadership edge. The team will run separate cohorts for experienced and emerging leaders, tailored to people’s experience levels. Holly believes this approach is essential to make sure people at every level get maximum value from the programme:
“Business leaders face different challenges to emerging leaders within an organisation, and there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to leadership development.
“In my experience, to get the most out of a programme like this, I believe it is essential to tailor it to people’s roles and experience levels,” she says.
Lead with Impact focuses on four key areas: helping participants grow in confidence; developing a leadership toolkit that enables them to lead both strategically and tactically; equipping them to tackle leadership challenges; and providing opportunities to learn from the insights and experiences of their peers.
Looking ahead, Arden Matheson plans to expand the team with new hires this year and next while continuing to grow at a global level. Holly says her focus is on expanding the firm’s client base while maintaining the close-knit culture that underpins the company’s growth to date. She adds: “My approach is always to keep moving forward – if you try something and it doesn’t work, you learn and move on. If it does work, you embrace it and celebrate it!”
