Westfield Health has launched a new digital platform designed to help employers keep more people in work by improving access to everyday, diagnostic and preventative healthcare.
The launch of Evolve comes as new research from Westfield Health reveals that three quarters (75%) of people who left work due to ill health say their previous employer did not provide adequate wellbeing support – highlighting the role earlier, more targeted intervention could play in reducing avoidable absence and improving workforce retention.
Evolve gives employers a simpler, more flexible way to build and manage health benefits. HR teams can set up cover in minutes, adapt benefits as workforce needs change, and access utilisation and trends, supporting more informed decision-making and board-level reporting.
The platform brings health cash plans and private health insurance together in one place, combining support for everyday healthcare needs with protection for more serious conditions. Employers can also include progressive benefits such as cancer risk assessment and screening, as well as neurodiversity support, reflecting growing demand for earlier intervention and more inclusive provision.
Vicky Walker, Chief People Officer at Westfield Health, said:
“What Evolve enables is a genuinely joined-up approach to employee health. It supports everyday needs while giving people fast access to diagnosis and treatment when it matters most. For HR teams, that means a benefits package built around how employees actually use healthcare, not just what looks good on paper.
“Getting the right support to people earlier can be the difference between someone staying in work or leaving altogether.”
From desk-based employees to shift workers and field teams, healthcare needs vary widely, yet many organisations still rely on one-size-fits-all benefits. For organisations with more than 50 employees, Evolve enables tailored support for different workforce groups, allowing employers to select the benefits that matter most rather than defaulting to standardised packages.
“With cancer diagnoses continuing to rise, earlier detection isn’t just about screening, it’s about helping people understand their risk, recognise when something isn’t right, and access the right support at the right time,” said Kelly McCabe, CEO at Perci Health.
“Through our partnership with Westfield Health, we’re bringing a more complete early detection approach, combining personalised risk assessment, support to access appropriate screening, and specialist clinical guidance when results or symptoms raise concern. This helps people take the right next step quickly and confidently, improving outcomes and reducing the impact of delayed diagnosis and absence.”
Walker added:
“Wellbeing provision works best when it reflects the real needs of a workforce. Evolve gives employers the flexibility, visibility and support to build something that genuinely works. Ultimately, that’s what drives better outcomes for both people and businesses.”
