Exploring the Bizarre: High-Paying Jobs You Never Knew Existed

Learning something new is very easy nowadays since we are just a click away from tons of available resources. No matter how odd our interests may seem to others, there’s definitely a course or a job out there that we will enjoy.

Skillshub has dived into some of the most random courses available on the internet and collected some of the most interesting ones. Most of them don’t just provide you with some interesting skills (to say the least) but many also come with an official certificate and shockingly, some really high salaries.

Here’s how much you can make yearly if you were going to enter these professions:

Professional Mermaid – £58,600

Becoming a professional mermaid seems like a dream, but it’s actually a reality in some touristy seaside locations. If you learn how to swim with a tail and gain the right skills, you can be a mermaid show performer and do water-based stage shows, a party entertainer and make children happy at their parties, or even become a mermaid athlete and take part in competitions. The salaries depend on the job, but you can earn around £58,600 a year.

Angel Oracle Card Reader – £55,000

If you have a mystical side and are tempted to follow a carrier related to this, you can become an Angel Oracle Card Reader. That means that you can connect to the Angels and read the cards. This job will pay around £55,000 a year and sounds like fun.

Clown – £50,916

If your long life dream is to make people laugh (or scare them to their core), then becoming a clown is what you should do. The jobs can bring you around £50,916 a year.

Exorcist – £41,900

An exorcist is someone who can drive out evil spirits, demons, and devils from possessed people, places, and things. Sounds terrifying for most people, but if you’re interested in something like this, you can earn around £41,900 a year.

Cryptozoologist – £38,900

I’m sure you hear about the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot, but if you really believe these mythical creatures really exist, you might want to try cryptozoology and prove that. Cryptozoology isn’t a recognised science, but there are people around the world that do study and try to find mythical creatures and apparently, they earn around £38,900 a year doing this work.

Paranormal Investigator – £35,140

If you liked Ghostbusters, you might want to become a paranormal investigator and go to all those presumably haunted locations to find ghosts. Doing this can help you earn around £35,140 a year.

Taxidermist – £30,000

Being a taxidermist means you will prepare the skins of dead animals and fill them with a special material to make them look as if they are alive. The job requirements might not sound appealing to a lot of people, especially those with a weak stomach, but the pay certainly might make it slightly easier at £30,000 a year.
