Praxis further bolsters senior team with two new hires

Praxis, the vertically integrated UK real estate platform, announces the appointments of Andrew Robinson as Managing Director – Capital Markets and Rosamund King as Chief People Officer, as it continues to progress a series of senior hires aimed at further strengthening the senior leadership team to facilitate the business’ growth.

With over 100 professionals working across three UK offices, Praxis has committed to increasing the business’ capacity to take advantage of a generational change in what comprises fit-for-purpose real estate for both occupiers and investors, securing new senior talent in the areas of strategy, investment, capital relationships and operational infrastructure.

Andrew Robinson brings over 20 years of relevant capital markets experience to Praxis, tasked with developing the firm’s fundraising strategy. He will work closely with Graham Barnes, Managing Director – Strategic Partnerships, who joined earlier this year, leveraging their combined experience to broaden and deepen the range of capital partners at Praxis’ disposal in support of its growth strategy.

Andrew joins from Resolution Property, where he was Managing Director, Capital Markets & Investments, leading the firm’s fundraising strategy, following a stint as an Investment Director at Lipton Rogers Developments. He started his career at Morgan Stanley where he spent 16 years, initially in the Investment Banking Division before establishing the Alternative Investment Partners Real Estate platform, playing a central role in raising $1.5bn for value add and opportunistic strategies.

Andrew said: “I’ve been highly impressed by Praxis’ track record since inception and look forward to taking this to a broader investor base keen to gain exposure to the returns potential from the business’ proven vertically integrated model. The conditions are optimal to pursue Praxis’ ambitious growth plans and I’m excited to bring my expertise to bear and play a meaningful role in achieving these goals.”

Rosamund King has taken on the newly created role of Chief People Officer, joining the five-strong Group Board led by CEO Mark Harrison, with responsibility for all people functions across the business and implementing a strategic HR framework that aligns with, and propels, Praxis’ growth ambitions. Rosamund has over 15 years’ experience leading the people agenda, starting her career specialising in financial services recruitment and with subsequent senior roles in banking and professional services.

Rosamund commented: “I was attracted to Praxis on account of its clearly defined values which permeate throughout the organisation, providing me with the challenge of ensuring the business’ identity remains intact as it scales. It’s hugely exciting to take on this role during a period of rapid expansion, leading initiatives that drive employee engagement and performance, whilst promoting an environment for people to develop their careers that cements Praxis as a destination for top talent.”

Commenting on the two latest recruits, James Hewitt, COO of Praxis, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andrew and Rosamund to the team as we position the business to take advantage of our strong pipeline of identified opportunities across the UK commercial real estate market. As we grow, Rosamund will play an important role in protecting the resilience of our corporate structure whilst preserving the business’ unique culture and character. With solid foundations already in place, Andrew’s addition to our capital markets team will be integral to attracting new capital and developing valuable relationships. I am delighted to welcome these two high calibre professionals on board.”

Praxis was advised by Keen Partners in relation to the appointment of Andrew Robinson and by Frazer Jones in relation to the appointment of Rosamund King.
