Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki dies at 56

Susan Wojcicki, the visionary leader who transformed YouTube into a global cultural phenomenon, passed away on Friday at the age of 56 after a courageous two-year battle with non-small cell lung cancer.

Her husband, Dennis Troper, shared the heartbreaking news in a poignant Facebook post, describing his wife as “a brilliant mind, a loving mother, and a dear friend to many.”

A founding member of Google, Wojcicki was instrumental in the company’s early growth. Her entrepreneurial spirit and strategic acumen were evident from the outset, as she famously rented her garage to Larry Page and Sergey Brin to kickstart their revolutionary search engine project.
